CLUB DEPORTIVO DE KUNG FU - WUSHU
CHIMBOTE - PERÚ
El Club Deportivo de Kung Fu-Wushu SHAO LI TEN fue fundado el 1 de octubre de 1979 en Chimbote, Perú.
Es una institución dedicada íntegramente a la práctica de este arte marcial chino. Nació por iniciativa de los miembros de la Sociedad China de Chimbote de aquel entonces, con la aprobación del maestro Li Ten Sui, ciudadano chino de origen cantonés, proveniente de la ciudad de Hok San (Heshan). Li Ten Sui heredó y practicó la disciplina del kung fu desde temprana edad, ya que fue su abuelo, Li Ki Sam, quien le transmitió los conocimientos y secretos de este arte. A su vez, Li Ki Sam había heredado estas enseñanzas de su maestro, Li Sin Pao, quien fue miembro del Shaolin Siu (monasterio ubicado al norte de Henan).
Al alcanzar la mayoría de edad, Li Ten Sui continuó su formación con grandes maestros chinos de la época, tales como Bun Gui Say, Saa Shay Piau y Lay Chung Pac.
Posteriormente, a los 28 años de edad, emigró al Perú, donde se dedicó al comercio y a la agricultura. Durante muchos años estuvo entregado a estas actividades. Su apego al Perú fue tal que contrajo matrimonio, del cual nacieron cuatro hijos. El menor de ellos, Manuel Antonio Li Fon, es quien actualmente conserva la tradición y enseñanza del Sifú Li Ten Sui.
Shao Li Ten, en sus 46 años de labor ininterrumpida, ha logrado albergar a un sinnúmero de practicantes, quienes han construido la historia viva del club, obteniendo importantes logros tanto a nivel nacional como internacional.
Su local institucional está ubicado en Jr. Elías Aguirre Nº 338, 4.º Nivel, Casco Urbano, Chimbote – Perú.
